On February 17, 2008, members of the Great Park Design Studio staff and OC Multicultural Coalition Liaisons,
Issa Edah-Tally and
Michelle Deniz Drousé, visited San Diego's Balboa Park to experience the House of Pacific Relations (HPR) International Cottages. HPR President
Hannu Mikkonen and House of Turkey Vice President
Jana Serdar presented an informative guided tour of the International Cottages.
HPR's Hall of Nations consists of 32 member nations and 20 cottages from the House of Scotland to the House of Puerto Rico. The HPR promotes multicultural goodwill and understanding through educational and cultural programs.
The park contains historic 1935 Exposition cottages plus 4 new cottages where HPR member countries can offer visitors a window to their culture, history and traditions. Visit HPR’s website for details:
